How to Set Intentions
Intentions are like goals, you have to clearly state or plan them out. They are a guiding principle for how you want things to be. When setting an intention you can align your thoughts and attitude to depict how you move through the day.
Your intention should be closely tied to your personal thoughts, values, and perspective on life. Intentions can be a clear and specific wish, or as simple as a word or phrase you’d like to align yourself for i.e "to be kind to myself and others", or "to have peace".
Try to keep the intention positive, so instead of saying “to stop being a attached" you can say "to be more independent".
Put it to the test !
Start stating your intentions at the beginning of your day or week. You can even set and recite an intention during a meditation. This can be when taking a bath or even during mediation outside of a bath. Call it to the center of your mind when you feel off.
